Women in Mathematics Day 2021

Women in Mathematics Day is held in honour of the birthday of Maryam Mirzakhani — the first female Fields Medallist. The goal is to inspire women everywhere to celebrate their achievements in mathematics, and to encourage an open, welcoming, and inclusive work environment for everybody. The Women in Mathematics Day event at Deakin will be a combination of short talks by industry professionals, academics and post-graduate students followed by a viewing of the film Picture a Scientist.
